The Newfolden Planning and Zoning Ordinance is effective as of July 24, 2009. The Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map were precipitated by a Comprehensive Plan for the community. The Planning & Zoning Commission reviews proposed amendments to zoning ordinances, site plans and plat applications, and also makes recommendations to the Council regarding the current and future development of the City of Newfolden. We will be adding additional information soon.
Residents must complete and submit a Zoning permit application to:
- Erect a new structure, add an addition to a structure, or move an existing structure to a new site;
- Complete any construction on a site currently without buildings;
- Complete any construction which will change the use of a site or add a new use to a site;
- Change the use of a site or add a new use to a site;
- Complete any construction which violates the Lot Requirement for a District or other provisions of this Ordinance.
